March 16 Dubble Bounce Track List

I'll be dropping this brand new Distal and HXDB track tomorrow (March 23) on the Dubble Bounce. I just couldn't wait to give y'all a taste of the mad flavours we got happening.

As for the March 16th Toast to Paddy Bounce: Started with some mellow soulful bass vibes including a brand new track from Bounce favorite LOL Boys called "Moments in Heartbreak". Twerked things up into some trap and house jams via a brand new cut from Canada's own JPOD the Beat Chef. He has a wicked new album of glitch-hop-funk-bass-break-dub goodness call Halfsteppin, cop it for sure and support great local talent. Towards the end of the show we dropped into some moombahton freshness and some party jams hope y'all dig! Lot of calls in about the brand new Treasure Fingers jam I dropped, Kastle remix is definitely the pick off the free Rooftop Revival single.

Word Up. March 2 Wax Romeo was nice enough to drop into the Dubble Bounce to slay it with a live mix containing tons of originals and unreleased material. Cop the mix and track list on my Soundcloud.

March 9th Dubble Bounce started with my battery falling out of my computer (sheeeiiiitee!) but we quickly got into the mix and layed down a bass heavy mix of hip-hop / trap shit / juke / rap and some smatterings of house. Played Two Tracks of Hint's amazing new album Daily Intake. I could (and probably eventually will) play any track off this album. Top quality production, killer vocalists, heavy bass and smart drums throughout. Don't sleep on this one, it comes out March 19th, but you can grab the digital right now HERE.

February 24- Dubble Bounce CJSW 90.9 FM

Word Up. Honest John's recently released the full 1979 LP of London afro-colombian group Steel 'an Skin called "Reggae is Here Once Again". I played the title track and if you agree that was one of the sweetest tropical funky tunes you've ever heard then I highly recommend picking up this killer full length.
Gotta give big ups to Audit on the first track of the show, heard this killer steel drum workout during his set at vicious circle last Sunday put on by Fat Drop Sundays. It was a wicked night, definitely check Fat Drop out  next time. As for the dubble bounce, we started things off deep and dubby working through lots of string arrangements and into some deep house. The show ended on a serious tropical bass note hearing tracks from Bounce favorite Uproot Andy and Shangaan Electro.

This Friday we will have Calgary's own Wax Romeo on the show playing a live set to celebrate the release of his new EP "I Hope I Fall Down the Stairs"  . Tune In for sure!

February 17th Dubble Bounce Track List CJSW 90.9 FM

Got a pile of new records in over the last couple weeks, tons of heaters for this show.

Started with some nice dub stylings from a new Peabody and Sherman 7", then we worked things up through some ragga into Moombahton. Played two more 7" party jams from War Dubplates and Lord Echo and His melodies on the Bastard Jazz label. Picked up a new white label copy of Lil Silva's remix of SBTRKT's anthem "Living Like I do", such a killer bassline! Ended things off with some UK funky/ garage tracks to get y'all dancing.

January 13 Dubble Bounce Track List- CJSW 90.9 FM

Word Word, Steady bass grooves all night starting with some classic reggae mixed with one of my favorite 2011 releases- Solo Banton- Music Addict EP. Then we cruize through some slo-mo DUB disco and into some super fresh Moombahton. If y'all haven't heard Sol Selecta's dropped their latest FREE EP of killer Moombah jams a couple of weeks ago, tonight we heard three of my favorites. Each track on the EP will have you bouncin, check it HERE. Wicked to hear the latest remix of our own Edmonton Boy Cadence Weapon's track Roll With The Winners cut to Moombah Hypeness by The Mane Thing.

The Dec 16th show featured a ton of UK Garage Tracks. British dance music is a a huge influence for me and I love to dig deep to find those UK garage bass jems. Mixed the old in with a bunch of new tracks including Author's (aka J. Sparrow) "Fix" off his Self-Titled Debut on Tectonic, one of the best albums this year for sure. Big ups to Canadian Badman Mat the Alien for his excellent remix of DJ Shadow's latest "Sad and Lonely".

I am a huge Fulgeance fan and his side projects Souleance, Peter Digital Orchestra etc. Production levels are always clean and full, filled with creative melody and bring the straight up FUNK. This is his debut album and I think it's one of my favorite albums of the year!
