Big things happening in the Dubble Bounce world. This Friday September 30 we will be having a special guest, Calgary producer extraordinaire Woulg. He will be releasing his debut EP “Floating Longingly Towards the Sun” October 1st on Outlier Recordings. Woulg will be in the studio to drop some exclusive tracks and talk about his music.
October 1st I'll be playing a live set at the Republik nightclub for Culture Saturdays BASSFACE #12 party as part of my monthly residency. Vilify from Monreal is headlining on the mainstage, along with Slim Pickins and Gnarcotics. I’ll rinse y’all out upstairs in the LAB with mad dancehall/reggae jams, future bass bangers and all sorts of Tropical flavours. Three Rooms and bass throughout the building! Don’t miss it!
Electronic Music Community Fundraiser – Friday September 30:
On August 5, Tyler Hargreaves, a Calgarian and six-time veteran of Shambhala, died tragically in a car accident on the way to this year's festival. He was 31 years old and had two very young boys, Kyle (age 4) and Caleb (age 1). Tyler's friends are organizing a fundraiser in Calgary at 6 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Kilkenny pub towards a trust fund for the education of Kyle and Caleb Hargreaves.
Tickets are $20 and will give you one free raffle ticket, one free beer and finger food all night. Come in your Shambhala costume and you'll get another raffle ticket for free. Additional raffle tickets are $5 per ticket.
The raffle includes two (2) tickets for Shambhala 2012, a weekend getaway at Emerald Lake, two hours of tattoo time from Sacred Balance, massage therapy packages, and much more. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
