Had tons of fun this show throwing down a bunch of club bangers and rap heaters, real trap shit. Started things off with some dancehall and ragga house vibes including Smalltown Dj's latest "Loving the Vibe" in its original form. I played the Theory VIP remix a couple of weeks ago, nice to see such variety on this single. We then got into that dirty hood music and rinsed out the rest of the show with a slew of grimey bounce tracks.

For the May 18th Edition of the Dubble Bounce we got into some hip-hop/ beat work to start things off and then dropped into an extended Afrobeat / Afro Disco set. Tons of fantastic Afro disco stuff being re-released right now by the likes of Soundway and Sofrito Records. Check them out for sure. This new track edited by Daphni (AKA Caribou) is right now my favorite track this year. Massive soulful, driving afro-stomper that he dubs out like mad as you sink deeper and deeper into the groove, essential:




Switched up the vibe at the end getting into a ton of new bass music, big ups to King Deluxe records on their recent release Evy Jane, great to hear such wicked music coming out of Canada!

May 4 Dubble Bounce Track List- CJSW 90.9 FM

Adam Yauch -August 5, 1964 – May 4, 2012. Truly a sad day to see such an incredible creative force pass away. Beastie Boys were hugely influential in my introduction to hip-hop that started the mad musical journey I'm on today. Started with a small selection of Beastie tracks, original and remixed.

Played both tracks off Justin Martin's new single Ghetto's and Gardens which is soon to be released on his new album. So amazing! This music just makes me want to mix with it all night, great beats, smart melodies and fat bouncing bass. Another couple tracks from the album were released today, expect to hear them everywhere soon!





Rinsed things out at the end of the show with some killer new bass tracks in a tech/house style. I'm a huge fan of the Moveltraxx label. You should check their latest compilation Movelt Posse 5 if you're into dancing, massive club tracks and or forward leaning bass music.
